How much does breast surgery cost in Mexico in 2026?

The short answer is in the table above: from approximately $55,000 MXN if what you want is volume with implants, from $60,000 MXN if what you need is a lift, and from $50,000 MXN if there is excess tissue. Three different operations, three different figures — and a good share of the patients who arrive asking for "an augmentation" turn out, after examination, to need one of the other two.

• The full post-surgical package, included at no extra cost: polarised light, pulsed laser on the scar, ultrasound for swelling, cold laser for the finest areas, crystals to fade the scar, and medical reviews supervised by the plastic surgeon. Elsewhere each of these sessions is billed separately after surgery.
• Follow-up until discharge, not charged appointment by appointment — and in breast surgery there are several, because implants settle between three and six months.

What is NOT included?

• The assessment consultation — $800 MXN, charged separately.
• Hospital and anaesthetist fees when the case is done in a hospital theatre rather than the clinic's own.
• Spare post-surgical bras beyond the initial garment.
• Flights, accommodation and transfers if you travel in.
• A future exchange or removal surgery. An implant is not a lifetime device, and its replacement is another operation.

How much does breast augmentation with implants cost?

From approximately $55,000 MXN. It is worth knowing what you are buying: not a size, but a specific implant placed in a specific plane through a specific route — three decisions the surgeon makes with your measurements in front of him.

The implant is chosen by profile (low, moderate, high or extra-high), shape (round or anatomical teardrop), surface (smooth, textured or nanotextured) and content, today almost always cohesive silicone gel. One warning that saves money: asking for "one size bigger" is not a surgical indication. The width of your chest and the quality of your skin set a physical ceiling on the volume that can be placed without the result looking artificial or the tissue suffering over the years.

Why do breast implants vary so much in price?

• Brand and range. An ergonomic range such as Motiva Ergonomix® does not cost the same as a standard line.
• Surface. Smooth, textured and nanotextured implants carry different costs.
• Shape. Anatomical teardrop implants usually cost more than round ones.
• Health-registry approval. This is not a price variable but a safety one. An implant without COFEPRIS registration is cheaper because it is not comparable: no traceability, no warranty, and it should not be placed.

How much does a breast lift (mastopexy) cost?

From approximately $60,000 MXN. A lift does not add volume: it repositions the gland and the nipple and removes excess skin. It is the operation indicated when the problem is not size but droop — and confusing the two is the most expensive mistake in this field. A patient with ptosis who has implants alone ends up with a larger breast that still droops.

How much does a breast lift without implants cost?

Also from approximately $60,000 MXN — the same reference figure as a lift with implants, and that is not a typo. What dominates the operating time in a mastopexy is the scar pattern and the repositioning of the nipple-areola complex, not the implant, which adds minutes rather than hours within the same operation. What does change is the result: without an implant the breast is lifted but keeps the volume you already have, and the upper pole tends to look flatter.

How much does a breast reduction cost?

From approximately $50,000 MXN. It is the cheapest aesthetic breast surgery in the tariff and the one that most changes daily life for those who need it: neck and back pain, deep bra grooving, dermatitis in the fold and difficulty exercising are as common a reason for consultation as the aesthetic one. How much does breast augmentation with your own fat cost?

No figure is published here, and the reason is that there is none in the tariff. Breast fat transfer is two operations in one: liposuction of a donor area and grafting of that processed fat into the breast. The extent of the liposuction changes the operating time entirely, so it is quoted case by case. What can be said in writing are its limits: it gives a moderate, very natural increase, improves the donor area contour, and does not always suffice in a single session because part of the graft is reabsorbed.

Does the price change if surgery is in a hospital or the clinic's theatre?

Yes, and it is one reason two estimates for the same surgery may not resemble each other. Many people search for the cost of implants at a specific hospital; the honest answer is that the hospital charges its own tariff, which is not ours to publish. When the case is resolved in the clinic's own theatre, theatre use is already inside the published figure; when the case calls for a hospital theatre, hospital and anaesthetist fees may be billed separately. Which applies to you is decided on safety grounds, not price, and you are told at your consultation.

Is the price different in Puebla, Guadalajara or Mexico City?

The figure at this clinic is the same wherever you come from, and it is published in Mexican pesos. We do not publish other clinics' prices because we have no way to verify them. What explains real differences: theatre cost varies by city and hospital; which implant is inside the price is the largest and least visible difference between two breast estimates; what is included matters more than the city; and the cost of a revision is the one nobody adds.

Why is the consultation $800 MXN and why is it required?

Because it is a real medical consultation, not a sales appointment. In breast surgery that means measuring: chest width, sternal-notch-to-nipple distance, nipple position relative to the inframammary fold, skin quality and elasticity, how much native tissue there is and whether there is baseline asymmetry. The indicated implant — and the price — come from those measurements, not from a photograph or a bra size.

Why can't the exact price be given over WhatsApp or from a photo?

Because what determines the cost does not show in a photograph. Chest width decides the maximum implant diameter that fits without visible edges. Skin quality decides whether it can hold the volume you want. Nipple position decides whether a lift is needed — which is the difference between one operation and another, and between one price and another.

Is there financing or interest-free instalments?

Yes. The clinic runs a 6 months interest-free promotion with Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. Restrictions apply and the CAT (total annual cost) is confirmed at the clinic; current terms and the monthly amount are confirmed at your consultation and put in writing. It is a bank promotion on your card rather than clinic credit, which is why the restrictions and the CAT are set by your bank.

Do the implants have a warranty, and is it in the price?

Yes. The brands used carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty plus additional protection programs, and every implant is handed over with its card and serial number. That warranty comes with the implant and is the manufacturer's, not the clinic's — which is why it depends on the implant being original and registered. Keep the implant card: it is the document a claim is made with, and it goes missing with surprising frequency ten years later.

How much does it cost to exchange or remove implants later?

Quoted case by case, with no published figure: a straightforward exchange, a removal with capsulectomy and a case that also needs a lift are very different operations. There is no rule about replacing implants every ten years — one is reviewed or replaced when there is a medical indication, not on a calendar.

How much does breast reconstruction after cancer cost?

From approximately $100,000 MXN. It is the most complex breast surgery in the tariff and the only one that is not aesthetic. Reconstruction is a right, not a cosmetic luxury, and many medical policies contemplate it when they covered the oncological treatment. Timing matters as much as technique — there are immediate and delayed reconstructions — and that decision is taken with your oncologist.

How much is a mommy makeover with abdomen and breasts together?

From approximately $180,000 MXN as a fixed combined plan. A mommy makeover is not one procedure but the combination of abdominoplasty with whatever pregnancy and breastfeeding left pending in the chest. Combining costs less than two or three separate surgeries — one theatre, one anaesthetic, one recovery — but more operating time in a single act also means more risk, and for some patients separating them is the right call. That decision is medical, not financial.

Does medical insurance cover breast surgery?

No policy covers the aesthetic part. What some policies do contemplate is breast reconstruction after cancer and, with documentation, breast reduction where there are associated symptoms. The decision belongs to your insurer, not the clinic, and depends on your policy and waiting periods. Ask them before your consultation and bring their answer in writing.

What signals that a low implant price will end up expensive?

• They will not name the implant brand or show you the card. No serial number, no warranty to claim.
• They will not tell you what it includes. If the estimate does not separate implant, theatre, labs and recovery, it is not an estimate.
• They quote without examining you. In breast surgery everything depends on measurements.
• They offer whatever volume you ask for. A surgeon who sets no limits is not thinking about your tissue ten years from now.

Social recovery after an augmentation is one to two weeks, upper-body exercise resumes around weeks 6–8, and implants settle into their definitive position between three and six months. How does the cost in Mexico compare with the United States?

Every figure here is in Mexican pesos and approximate; no dollar amount is published on purpose, because the equivalent depends on the exchange rate on the day you pay.
