Most people considering surgery are between 45 and 70. Many read on a phone with tired eyes. Others use a screen reader, or cannot use a mouse. This site was built for that, and measured to prove it.
How to make the text larger
Every page has a round button in the bottom-left corner. It opens a panel with these settings:
- Text size — Normal, Large or Largest. It scales the whole site, not just one paragraph.
- High contrast — darkens the text and strengthens borders, for low light or low vision.
- Underline links — marks links with a line, useful if you do not distinguish colours well.
- Reduce motion — stops the site's animations. If they cause dizziness or migraine, this turns them off.
- More spacing — opens up the lines and letters so text is easier to track.
Settings are saved on your device, so they stay applied as you move around the site. Nobody else sees them and they are not sent anywhere. To undo them, the same panel has "Reset all".
If your phone or computer already has "reduce motion" turned on at system level, the site respects it on its own.
If you use a screen reader
The site works with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Narrator and TalkBack. Every page opens with a skip-to-content link, headings run in order without skipping levels, images carry descriptions, menus announce whether they are open or closed, and page regions are named so you can jump between them.
Spanish content is announced in a Spanish voice and English content in an English voice: the parts that change language are marked, so your screen reader does not pronounce a word with the wrong accent.
If you navigate by keyboard
Everything is reachable with Tab. The active element is always marked with a visible outline that meets the contrast minimum the standard requires. Escape closes the menu, the search or the accessibility panel and returns focus to the button that opened it. The panel's text size also responds to the arrow keys.
The practice

How far this statement goes
The site was reviewed on 9 September 2026 against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, using the automated tool axe-core across the main pages in Spanish and English, at desktop and phone sizes, plus manual keyboard testing. That review left no violations.
An automated review does not catch everything, and sites change. So this page does not say "the site is perfect": it says what was measured, when, and with what. If you hit a barrier, that is information we did not have.
