A laser is not a treatment: it is a tool, and each one does one thing well. This page explains what a medical laser can treat, how the right device is chosen and what it costs — and below sits the full arsenal, because here every machine is named with its maker and its indication.

What can a medical laser treat?

The word “laser” groups technologies that resemble each other no more than a scalpel resembles a syringe. What they share is the principle: a wavelength that seeks a specific target — the pigment in a hair, the melanin of a spot, the haemoglobin in a dilated vessel, the water in tissue — and deposits energy there without surgery. From that principle come the families of indications treated at this clinic:

What a laser does not do

A laser deposits energy; it does not remove excess skin or repair a separated muscle. When the assessment finds the problem is structural — skin left over after pregnancy or major weight loss, an open muscle wall — the honest answer is surgical, and that surgery is also done in this house. The advantage of being assessed where both options exist is exactly that: nobody recommends the tool they happen to own; they recommend what your case asks for.

The reverse rule applies too: some problems do not warrant an operating theatre, and offering surgery where three sessions of a well-indicated device suffice would be overtreatment. The reasoning is spelled out on each procedure page.

Why every device here is named, with maker and model

“We have a laser” says nothing: what matters is which one. Every wavelength has its indications, and no single device can cover them all — which is why the clinic’s arsenal spans dozens of platforms, and why the full list is published on this page, each with its manufacturer, country of origin and what it does. If a treatment you were offered elsewhere names a device, you can look it up here and see what it is genuinely for.

That transparency has a practical consequence: when the right machine for your case is not on this list, you are told so — instead of your case being adapted to the machine available.

Laser on darker skin

Most patients at this clinic have Fitzpatrick skin types III to V, and that is the first technical question of any light-based treatment: a device that cannot tell its target from the skin’s own pigment can stain instead of improve. That is why the arsenal includes technologies that work independently of melanin — EndyMed 3DEEP radiofrequency, ultrasound, magnetic stimulation — and wavelengths safe on darker skin, and why parameters are adjusted by skin type, with a test patch when the indication calls for one.

How much does laser treatment cost?

It depends on the family. As an approximate reference: laser hair removal is priced by zone, from $3,000 MXN for the 6-session package of the smallest zone — the price list publishes the full per-zone table. The Fotona intimate laser costs $8,000 MXN per session or $24,000 MXN for a five-session package, the same across its nine indications. The stretch-mark and scar laser (ResurFX) starts at $8,000 MXN per session, and facial CO₂ resurfacing at $25,000 MXN.

None of these figures is a quote: every laser indication requires a prior assessment ($800 MXN, billed separately), where the device, the number of sessions and the definitive cost are set in writing.

The technology platform, device by device

Twenty-four medical devices. All of them are listed — with the manufacturer and what each one actually does — because a patient is entitled to know what they will be treated with, and because choosing the device by indication, instead of forcing every problem onto the only machine available, is the difference between a good result and a sale.

Medical lasers

Alma Hybrid · Alma — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Alma Hybrid

Alma · Israel

The only hybrid laser emitting ablative CO₂ (10,600 nm) and non-ablative (1570 nm) energy simultaneously, plus IMPACT ultrasound to drive actives into the skin. Used when a great deal must be corrected with the least possible downtime: deep wrinkles, acne and surgical scars (OSCAR protocol), stretch marks and photoageing.

Fotona SP Dynamis Max · Fotona — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Fotona SP Dynamis Max

Fotona · Eslovenia

A high-power dual Er:YAG + Nd:YAG platform — probably the most versatile device in the practice. It runs the Fotona 4D (needle-free lifting), SmoothEye, LipLase, NightLase, HAIRestart and TightSculpting protocols; and on the medical side it treats vascular lesions, onychomycosis and warts, as well as Nd:YAG hair removal in darker phototypes.

Lumenis AcuPulse DUO · Lumenis — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Lumenis AcuPulse DUO

Lumenis · Israel

Fractional surgical-aesthetic CO₂ with SurgiTouch. It corrects more than anything else in the arsenal, and demands the most recovery in exchange: deep resurfacing, scars, excision of benign lesions and precision laser surgery. It also runs the FemTouch gynaecological protocol.

NovaPulse CO₂ surgical laser (Lumenis · Luxar) — high-precision laser scalpel used by Dr. Arístides Arellano for dermatologic surgery, blepharoplasty and scar surgery in Puebla

NovaPulse

Lumenis · Luxar

A focused-beam surgical CO₂ (10,600 nm) with hollow-waveguide fibre delivery: a scalpel of light. Unlike the fractional AcuPulse — which treats the surface — the NovaPulse cuts: it excises moles, warts and skin lesions, incises and cauterises at once in blepharoplasty and scar surgery, and works soft tissue with less bleeding, greater precision and less swelling than a cold scalpel. It is the laser used when the goal is to operate, not to resurface.

Lumenis Stellar M22 · Lumenis — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Lumenis Stellar M22

Lumenis · Israel

A modular station, not a single laser — and the distinction matters, because each module does something different: IPL (photorejuvenation, flat pigment, rosacea, acne), ResurFX 1565 nm (texture and pores), Multi-Spot Nd:YAG (vessels and capillaries) and Q-Switched Nd:YAG, the module that shatters tattoo ink. Four technologies, one chassis.

Lumenis ResurFX · Lumenis — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Lumenis ResurFX

Lumenis · Israel

Non-ablative 1565 nm fractional — the workhorse of facial maintenance. Texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, stretch marks and superficial scars, with no downtime. It is the M22 module most used on darker skin, precisely because it does not remove the surface.

Lumenis LightSheer · Lumenis — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Lumenis LightSheer

Lumenis · Israel

An 805 nm diode, the reference standard in hair removal, with vacuum technology that reduces pain. It is paired with Nd:YAG so that every phototype can be treated — and in Mexico that is not a technical footnote: it is what makes it possible to treat darker skin without burning it.

Lumenis ClearLight — blue-light acne lamp at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Lumenis ClearLight

Lumenis · Israel

High-intensity blue-light phototherapy targeting Cutibacterium acnes. It is an adjunct in active inflammatory acne — it does not replace medical treatment, and this clinic will not pretend otherwise — but it reduces bacterial load without adding drugs.

Lumenis Derma K · Lumenis — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Lumenis Derma K

Lumenis · Israel

A combined CO₂ + Er:YAG platform. It allows ablation depth to be graded according to what the skin tolerates, which is particularly useful in high phototypes, where an aggressive CO₂ carries more risk of leaving pigment behind.

Endolyse — 1470 nm interstitial endolaser at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Endolyse

Endolyse

A 1470 nm interstitial endolaser: an optical fibre that works beneath the skin, tightening and performing lipolysis at once. It is the step between external energy and the operating theatre — jowl, jawline, arms, knees — for patients who no longer respond to a surface device but do not yet want surgery.

TricoSTYM 3100 · TricoSTYM — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

TricoSTYM 3100

TricoSTYM

Low-level laser therapy for the scalp (LLLT): four 630 nm lasers and twenty-one 940 nm infrared LEDs, in short painless sessions. What it does, and what is documented in androgenetic alopecia: it slows shedding, prolongs the growth phase of a weakened follicle and improves the density and calibre of existing hair. What it does NOT do: it creates no new follicles. Where the root is gone no device brings it back — that is transplant territory. It pays off most when started early, works as an adjunct to the medical plan (minoxidil, finasteride, PRP) rather than a substitute, and demands consistency: it is measured with HairMetrix after months, not in the mirror after a week.

Energy, body and muscle

Alma PrimeX · Alma — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Alma PrimeX

Alma · Israel

Body contouring: transverse UltraWave ultrasound against fat + UniPolar radiofrequency for collagen, with patented rotational massage. Abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks, arms and jowl, in 8–30 minute sessions.

Alma Prime · Alma — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Alma Prime

Alma · Israel

The practice’s second Alma unit: cold ultrasound + radiofrequency for facial and body contouring.

Emsculpt NEO · BTL — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Emsculpt NEO

BTL · República Checa

Simultaneous HIFEM + radiofrequency: the only device that builds muscle and reduces fat in the same session. Abdomen, buttocks, arms and calves. It replaces neither exercise nor surgery; it complements both.

Fotona StarFormer · Fotona — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Fotona StarFormer

Fotona · Eslovenia

High-intensity Tesla magnetic stimulation (HITS), in two applications: TightWave for skeletal muscle (abdomen, buttocks, thighs, back) and IntimaWave, the chair that strengthens the pelvic floor clothed and seated — urinary and faecal incontinence, and postpartum recovery.

EndyMed PRO (3DEEP) · EndyMed — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

EndyMed PRO (3DEEP)

EndyMed · Israel

Multi-source radiofrequency. Its real advantage is on darker skin: radiofrequency does not depend on melanin to act, so it does not compete with the skin’s pigment. Modules: Intensif (microneedling RF — scars, pores, laxity), FSR, Shaper and facial lifting.

LipoMax RF · LipoMax — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

LipoMax RF

LipoMax

A multimodal radiofrequency platform: in-office lipolysis, remodelling and texture, without surgery.

LPG Endermologie Cellu M6 · LPG — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

LPG Endermologie Cellu M6

LPG · Francia

Patented mechanical endermology. Beyond the aesthetic use (Lipomassage for cellulite and silhouette, Endermolift for the face), it has a medical indication that matters to surgical patients: treating post-liposuction fibrosis and lymphatic drainage during recovery.

Rigid monoplace hyperbaric chamber at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Cámara hiperbárica Perry

Perry Baromedical · Estados Unidos

A Perry rigid monoplace chamber — hard shell, viewport and pressure console, not an inflatable bag — in which oxygen is breathed at above-atmospheric pressure. Here it is used as an adjunct to post-surgical recovery: tissue oxygenation, compromised flaps and grafts, and oedema control. It does not replace post-operative care.

Hair, facial and diagnostics

ARTAS iX · Venus Concept — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

ARTAS iX

Venus Concept

An AI-driven hair-transplant robot: it selects and harvests each follicular unit at the optimal depth, force and angle. The advantage is not novelty: it is that it does not tire — over a session of thousands of follicles, a human hand does.

Sistema Trivellini (Mamba) · Trivellini — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

Sistema Trivellini (Mamba)

Trivellini

A programmable multiphasic punch enabling Long Hair FUE: transplantation without shaving the donor area, with long hair, and a result visible the same day. For many patients — especially those who cannot explain a shaved head at work — this is what decides whether they go ahead at all.

HairMetrix · Canfield — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

HairMetrix

Canfield · Estados Unidos

AI-assisted digital trichoscopy: it measures density, thickness and follicular units without shaving. It provides what no patient can judge alone in a mirror: whether the hair treatment is actually working — a number instead of an impression.

VISIA · Canfield — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

VISIA

Canfield · Estados Unidos

Standardised six-angle facial analysis: pigment, pores, texture, subclinical UV damage and vasculature. It photographs what is not yet visible to the naked eye — the sun damage beneath the surface — and provides the objective basis for the plan, instead of the opinion of whoever is selling.

HydraFacial Syndeo · HydraFacial — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

HydraFacial Syndeo

HydraFacial · Estados Unidos

Vortex-Fusion hydradermabrasion: it exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one pass, with active boosters. It is a deep medical cleanse — not a treatment for a disease — and that is stated plainly.

OxyGeneo · Geneo — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

OxyGeneo

Geneo · Israel

A three-in-one super-facial: exfoliation + endogenous oxygenation (Bohr effect) + active infusion. NeoRevive (anti-ageing) and NeoBright (pigment) protocols.

ESTÉTIQUE RejuveMax · Estétique — equipment at Dr. Arístides Arellano’s practice in Puebla

ESTÉTIQUE RejuveMax

Estétique

A full-body LED cabin (photobiomodulation). Used as anti-inflammatory and recovery support, including alongside the hair plan and post-operative care.

Frequently asked questions

Is laser hair removal really permanent?

The laser destroys the follicles that are in their growth phase at each session, which is why treatment runs in packages of 6 spaced sessions rather than one. The reduction is permanent in the treated follicles; the body can activate new follicles over the years or with hormonal changes, which is why some people do annual maintenance. Your skin and hair type — the two factors that determine the result — are reviewed at the assessment.

How much does laser hair removal cost in Puebla?

It is priced by zone, in 6-session packages, from $3,000 MXN for the smallest zone. The site’s price list publishes the full per-zone table. Every figure is approximate and the exact plan is set at the assessment consultation, which costs $800 MXN and is billed separately.

Does laser work on darker skin?

Yes, with the right device and parameters — and that condition is the difference between a good result and a stain. The clinic mostly treats Fitzpatrick types III to V: wavelengths safe on pigmented skin, technologies that do not depend on melanin such as radiofrequency, and a prior test patch when the indication calls for it. What never changes is the rule: first your skin is examined, then the device is switched on.

Does laser remove varicose veins?

It removes spider veins and fine superficial veins, which are the laser’s vascular indication. Thick varicose veins with reflux are a deep venous system problem and are investigated first; treating them only from the outside leaves the cause untouched. Telling one from the other is part of the assessment, and if your case belongs to another specialty, you are told.

How many sessions does a laser treatment take?

Almost no laser indication is a single-session one: hair is treated by growth phases, collagen takes weeks to reorganise, and pigment clears in layers. The number depends on the indication and on your skin — as a reference, hair removal runs in packages of 6 and the Fotona intimate laser in series of up to 5. The exact number for your case is set at the assessment, not from a catalogue.

Does laser treatment hurt?

Most treatments are described as tolerable: heat, snapping or brief pinpricks depending on the device, with cooling or topical anaesthesia where the indication warrants it. Tattoo removal and CO₂ resurfacing are the most demanding, and you are told so before, not after. No treatment on this page requires general anaesthesia.

Can a device replace surgery?

It depends on the depth of the problem. Energy works on localised fat, collagen and muscle in mild to moderate degrees; excess skin and a separated muscle wall are structural problems corrected in an operating theatre. Both options exist at this clinic, so the recommendation comes from your examination, not from the machine available. If a device is not going to solve your case, you are told before being charged for sessions.

Who performs the treatments, and how is the device chosen?

Every indication comes out of a medical assessment: first your case is examined, then the technology is chosen. Treatments are performed at the clinic under medical protocol, with parameters adjusted to your skin type and reviews between sessions. The selection criterion is public on this very page: every device is named with its maker and its real indication.
